Rides to School, Pleasanton’s school traffic calming program was developed to help alleviate safety hazards and traffic congestion associated with the drop-off and pick-up of students at schools within the city of Pleasanton .  One of the program elements is the ‘schoolpool’ program which assists parents in forming walking, biking and car ‘pools,’ ultimately reducing the number of vehicles in and around the school during these busy periods.

Here’s How it Works…

It’s so easy!  By completing the information below, you will be placed on a matchlist to form a walk, bike or carpool.  Once your information is received, your student’s enrollment is verified through the Pleasanton Unified School District Pleasanton within 2-3 business days.  Upon receiving verification, our Program Administrator at the City of Pleasanton will input your information into its database and you will receive a matchlist via e-mail if you provided your e-mail address or through the mail.  All you have to do is call the parents on your matchlist and arrange your meeting times and places.  That’s it!
